Greatest Stage
Welcome, welcome, one and all to the greatest show you will ever see. Full of up's, down's, twists and turns, there will be moments of joy, moments of happiness, but never can it be said, will there be a dull moment.
The show thats presented to you tonight is the story of... well... that would be giving it away now, wouldn't it? I suppose you could say, that all of us can relate to this tale in one way or another, for it has already begun... for some it has ended, others it has just started. But nevertheless with each beginning and ending, the show never truly stops, for the protaganist is always within sight. Oh and what a protaganist they are! Let me tell you, you'll love them or hate them, you'll cheer for them or scream at them... who knows how you'll react with what they do, who even knows what they'll do next?
Silly question, as you're the audience, you'll never know! You'll never know if there's been a mistake, you'll never know if a line has been missed here or there, but really if those mistakes are made then you're not getting the full show. Or are you getting more of a show for when mistakes are made? It allows for some improvised correction never seen elsewhere! All very exciting, wouldn't you agree?
Now, I do feel that I've rambled on enough, come, let us get on with our feature. But before we do, you'll be required to take center stage to do your part, why, you ask? Well haven't you figured out? The star is you. This is your tale! Now now, don't panic, haven't I already said the audience doesn't know what to expect? You could do anything here and now and get some form of reaction, whether or not it's a good reaction... well, as of this point, I'm the audience too. How am I meant to know? But you can always try. Worried you'll make a mistake...? Haven't I already covered what happens with mistakes?
All I will say to you is this, do your best and the people will cheer, if you fall, then we will cry for you to stand back up. If a villain appears in your tale, we will boo for you. But we as an audience can only do those things if you keep the story going. If you give up, if you decide to stop. Then how can we cheer for you, cry for you or boo for you?
Come take the stage, stand in the spotlight and continue on. After all, when these curtains close, wouldn't you like them to close in a resounding applause of a tale well told, of a story fully realised? Of course you do. You have your stage crew behind you, you have your fellow cast to support you, along every scene and act. People are there to guide you in your journey. So finish it.
