Bully Of The Mountain

The Bully of the mountain thought itself strong and proud,
"No one's been higher than I" he cried aloud.
But so blinded was he, he never saw all the other peaks and heights.
That surrounded others at the bottom with such delight.

Some people looked up, to the wonders they could see from down below.
But to the mountainous bully, this irked him so.
"What are you looking at? What do you see?
Why are you not paying attention to me?"

The bully was strong so he hurled stone and rock,
Thunderous roars caused an avalanche to run amok.
"See me now! See my power!
All gaze at the heights I have conquered!"

Thus they looked up but with anger now set,
What could they do against such a threat?
Powerful yes but he was alone,
So they knew what to do for his lonely throne.

He needed food for none was up high,
They stopped sending his meals, running him dry.
No water either for the man on top,
Soon he would beg for his thirst to stop.

He was angry and tantrumed, demanding it all,
He shouted that he would cause the whole mountain to fall.
"This is my power, fear me in dread,
To ignore me is to make you all dead!"

The people below replied in one voice, as they told the mountainous bully "Go f- yourself!" instead!
